Did you know that 98% of the nation's Hazelnuts are grown in Oregon's Willamette Valley?

Hazelnuts are a healthy choice! They're rich in fiber, protein, iron, calcium, vitamin E and complex carbohydrates.

Over 90% of the total fat in Hazelnuts is unsaturated and they have NO cholesterol.

As you can see, they are an excellent choice for any meal. Here is a favorite among our candymakers! We'll highlight other favorite Hazelnut recipes rfrequently, so check back with us.

 
Northwest Granola

3 cups Oats
2 cups shredded Coconut
1 cup chopped Hazelnuts
1 cup wheat germ
1 cup sunflower seeds

1 cup honey
1/2 cup canola oil
(heat these two ingredients together in microwave oven)

Combine all ingredients and put in a baking pan. Bake at 300 degrees Farenheit for 45 minutes. Stire every 15 minutes. Remove from oven and cool. Add: 1 cup raisins. Store in airtight container
