The Brittle Kittle is a family owned business based in
Tigard, Oregon. Our candy factory is nestled in the heart of Oregon's
fertile Willamette Valley - world famous for its distinctive hazelnuts.
The year was 1980...
when we let our family secret out of the kettle. We developed a secret
recipe that captured the essence of these flavorful hazelnuts, along
with 100% natural peanut butter to create this unique candy. The kettle
logo was adopted to capture the time-honored way in which the brittle
is made - in small old fashioned kettles. But we did not stop at one
delicious and tempting treat. We soon created more scrumptious
varieties to include peanut, almond and our much-loved holiday
favorite, pecan.
The tradition continues...
We are proud that our candy makers still preserve the traditions
established 20 years ago to make this delightful candy. Each batch is
carefully cooked in small kettles, hand-worked on heavy marble slabs,
hand-cut, and sealed within minutes to capture the freshness. We have
entered the millennium with our new outrageously delicious chocolate
delights featuring rich, velvety-smooth European chocolate. We are
constantly developing new recipes so check back with us frequently!
